2. Information we collect

We collect personal information from you and, where permitted, from third parties so we can assess and process your application.

Information you provide directly:

  • Full name
  • Phone number and email address
  • Real estate agency name
  • Sales manager or principal details
  • Property address
  • Sale price
  • Expected commission amount
  • Advance amount requested
  • Expected settlement date
  • Confirmation that funding is for business purposes
  • Consent to a credit check

  • Sale and Purchase Agreement

  • Date of birth (only if you consent to a credit check)

Some providers store data outside New Zealand, including the United States and other jurisdictions.

We take reasonable steps to ensure overseas providers protect your information in line with New Zealand standards, including contractual safeguards and security controls.

6. Credit checks

If you consent, we will obtain a credit report through InfoLog.

This may include:

  • Name, date of birth, and address history
  • Credit history and accounts
  • Defaults or insolvency records

We will only request a credit report after:

Credit reporting agencies may record that a check was made.

7. How we protect your information

10. Cookies and tracking technologies

11. Meta Pixel and Automatic Advanced Matching

Our website uses the Meta Pixel, a tracking technology provided by Meta Platforms, Inc. (the operator of Facebook and Instagram). We use it to measure the effectiveness of our advertising on Meta platforms, build retargeting audiences, and reach similar audiences who may benefit from our service.

The Pixel records page views and certain actions you take on our site, such as viewing the Pricing or Apply pages and submitting an application form.

Automatic Advanced Matching. We have enabled Meta's Automatic Advanced Matching feature. This means that when you submit information through forms on our website — such as your name, email address, and phone number — the Pixel automatically transforms (hashes) that information using the SHA-256 algorithm before sending it to Meta. Meta then uses the hashed data to attempt to match your activity on our site to a Facebook or Instagram account, so that we can more accurately attribute conversions to our advertising and reach you (and similar audiences) with relevant advertising on Meta platforms.

Hashing transforms your information into a one-way string. The hashed data does not, on its own, identify you to anyone who does not already hold the same underlying information.

Meta is located in the United States. By submitting forms on our website, you acknowledge that hashed personal information may be transferred to and processed by Meta in the United States and other jurisdictions in which it operates.

Your choices. You can opt out of Meta's tracking and advertising at any time. Options include:

  • Adjusting your Facebook ad preferences at facebook.com/adpreferences
  • Using the Digital Advertising Alliance's opt-out tool at optout.aboutads.info
